Whitesands project - sewer network improvements

Scottish Water's combined sewer network and our piped watercourses outfall to the river Nith at various points along Whitesands.

During high flows in the river, these can 'back up' causing additional underground flooding.

The scheme must therefore address water coming up from these underground services, as well as the river overflowing. Working with Scottish Water, we're looking at ways to prevent underground flooding.

A likely solution will be a pumping station in the D&G Homes car park.
