Council meetings, agendas and minutes
Elected members are part of council committees which meet regularly and you're welcome to attend most meetings. We publish committee diaries and meeting papers online so you can see what will be discussed or what decisions were made.
Our main committee meetings are normally held during the day at the Council HQ in English Street, Dumfries but sometimes we hold meetings at other times and places. Some meetings (or parts of meetings) won't be open to the public if we're discussing confidential or restricted information.
We publish audio recordings of meetings that take place in Council HQ for your information. The minutes are still the formal legal record of our meetings and any decisions taken.
Sometimes there will be no audio recording available for a meeting due to technical failures. Call 01387 260031 if you can't find the audio recording you're interested in.
