Harbour Safety Bulletins:

Harbours safety management system

We are committed to complying with the Port Marine Safety Code and operating in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. Our Harbours Safety Management System and formal risk assessment process demonstrate this commitment.

The Dumfries and Galloway Council Marine Safety Management System - Purpose and Policy is provided in draft format.  It is subject to approval at Harbours Sub-Committee on 2 September 2021.

Report an Incident

An incident is defined as any event that causes harm, damage or environmental contamination, to a person, vessel or object within in the waters of a DGC Statutory Harbour Area or its approaches.

Near misses are events that had the potential to cause an incident. Near Misses should also be reported.
