Plastic Bottles, Pots, Tubs and Trays Recycling

The skips for plastic recycling can now accept plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays at the following Household Waste Recycling Centres:

What plastics can I recycle?

Examples of the types of plastics which can be recycled at these centres include:

  • Plastic bottles and plastic tops such as drink, food, shampoo, conditioner, soap, detergent and sauce bottles.
  • Plastic tubs such as ice cream tubs
  • Plastic food trays such as fruit and veg trays and ready meal trays
  • Plastic pots such as yoghurt pots

Ensure plastic items are clean. Empty liquids from plastic bottles; empty all food and clean pots, tubs and trays; and wash 'n' squash plastic bottles and replace plastic tops.

Not acceptable: We cannot accept plastic films or bags, food contaminated packaging, polystyrene, plant pots or garden seed trays
