One councillor is to be elected for the Dee and Glenkens Ward of Dumfries and Galloway Council.

Notice of Poll

  1. Polling will take place between the hours of 7am and 10pm on Thursday 13 December 2018 for the election of one Councillor for the Dee and Glenkens electoral ward, there remaining more validly nominated candidates than the number of councillors to be elected.

Postal or proxy voting

Any elector may apply for a postal or proxy vote at this election.

  1. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Chambers, Buccleuch Street, Dumfries, DG1 2AD by 5pm on Tuesday 27 November.
     
  2. Applications to amend or cancel existing proxy arrangements must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Chambers, Buccleuch Street, Dumfries, DG1 2AD by 5pm on Tuesday 27 November.
     
  3. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Chambers, Buccleuch Street, Dumfries, DG1 2AD by 5pm on Wednesday 5 December.
     
  4. Applications to vote by proxy at this election applied for on the grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Municipal Chambers, Buccleuch Street, Dumfries, DG1 2AD by 5pm on Thursday 13 December. The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5pm on Wednesday 5 December. To apply on the grounds of work/service, the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station in person after 5pm on Wednesday 5 December.
