Open for Business event
Thursday 30 May 2013, 4.30pm to 8pm
Duncan Suite, Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries
Dumfries and Galloway Council is hosting an Open for Business event on Monday 30 May, from 4.30pm to 8pm, at Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries.
The event has been designed to offer the region’s local businesses support and help. All businesses in Dumfries and Galloway are welcome to attend.
The event is an opportunity for businesses to find out what services the Council requires from businesses that might apply for public sector contracts. Businesses will be able to find out what help is available from the Council to do this.
Council officers will give specialist advice on regulations and legal requirements relating to business.
The Council also has financial assistance grants available and businesses will be given information and advice on accessing these.
Councillor Ian Carruthers, chairman of the Planning, Housing and Environment Services Committee, said, “At this free event, Council officers will offer a range of advice and tips. We want to encourage new business start-ups and help existing businesses to be sustainable and grow. There will also be information and advice on grants available to local businesses. It will be well worth coming along to this Open for Business event.”
