Demystifying Intellectual Property
Monday, 30 September 2013 09:37
(On behalf of CABN)
CABN (the Creative Arts Business Network) and Scottish Enterprise are holding workshops across the region for creative individuals and businesses that want a better understanding of how to protect what they create, and how to get value from their ideas.
If you have ever wondered if you should be copyrighting, trademarking, pursuing a patent or protecting your designs, then this is the workshop for you. Valuing and protecting what you create doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive.
The workshop will help you to identify what “intellectual assets” you own, how to protect them, and how they can generate income.
Places at each workshop are being limited to a maximum of 8.
Training session will be held on the following dates
• 4th October 2013 – Castle Douglas Town Hall, Castle Douglas – 2pm-4pm
• 11th October 2013 – Gracefield Arts Centre, Dumfries – 2pm-4pm
• 18th October 2013 – Buccleuch Centre, Langholm – 3pm-5pm
• 25th October 2013 – Ryan centre, Stranraer – 10am-12noon
• 25th October 2013 – Business Gateway Office(training room), Newton Stewart – 2pm-4pm
To book a place for any of the sessions, please contact cabn@dumgal.gov.uk or telephone Stephanie Carrick on 030 33 33 3000 extension 65052. Early booking is recommended as places are limited.
The CABN new work project is funded by Creative Scotland, the Scottish Government, the European Community, Dumfries and Galloway LEADER 2007-2013 PROGRAMME, and Dumfries and Galloway Council until 31st December 2013.
