Food and Drink Business Development Programme
Monday, 26 August 2013 13:37
Dumfries and Galloway Council through the South of Scotland Business Competitiveness Project has commissioned a new free to attend Business Development Programme.

The programme has been specifically designed to give new and emerging businesses in South West Scotland the necessary skills and knowledge to grow successfully through innovation, adding value, market development and quality improvements.

The free programme, which starts in autumn 2013, consists of monthly workshops. In addition to attending the workshops businesses will have the opportunity to create their own business development plans with the support of SAC Consulting Food & Drink.

Councillor Ian Carruthers, Chair of the Council’s Planning, Housing and Environment Committee said “This latest initiative from our South of Scotland Business Competitiveness project is another example of how we are working to improve the competitiveness of small and micro businesses in Dumfries and Galloway”.

Businesses interested in taking part should contact Eric Brown, Dumfries and Galloway Council on 030 33 33 3000 (bcp@dumgal.gov.uk) or Patrick Hughes, SAC Consulting on 01224 711047 (patrick.hughes@sac.co.uk).

The European Regional Development Funded South of Scotland Business Competitiveness Project is one of the regional initiatives driving business growth in Dumfries & Galloway's food and drink sector.
