An emergency can happen at any time without notice and it might be some time before help arrives. It is very important that you and your family have made preparations for emergencies at home.
You can't predict when your community may be affected by a disaster but you can be prepared. Communities can use local resources and knowledge to help themselves during an emergency and complement emergency services.
An unexpected disruption or crisis can impact your business. Businesses are far more likely to survive a disaster if they have planned for it in advance.
