Consultation on the Council's Active Travel Strategy 2022-2027

Dumfries and Galloway's Active Travel Strategy is being refreshed, and your input is vital to developing this. We want to invite you to participate in our online survey, which will secure your views are considered in setting the future of active travel in our region.

What is happening during the consultation process?

During December 2021-January 2022 we engaged with Staff and Partners to align where Active Travel stands both within Council Services and across external initiatives with partner organisations.

In January-February 2022 we are engaging with our citizens and key stakeholders through surveys, one-to-ones, targeted workshops, and conversations to:

  • Get people's perceptions on the strategic policy intents and the future of active travel in the region.
  • Understand citizens expectations and aspirations regarding active travel, locally perceived needs, action points and priorities across town and villages.
  • Update data on current travel behaviour and choices to better inform the strategic objectives for the period 2022-2027.

Making an active region, together. On our journey to net zero.
