Trusted Trader scheme

Our Trusted Trader scheme helps you to choose a reputable trader from customer feedback.

The scheme is currently aimed mainly at home improvement traders. The traders are reviewed by customers as well as checked and monitored by us to make sure they're trading legally.

Note: When calling please remember to tell the trader that you got their information from the Trusted Trader website.

Search for approved traders in your area

Limitations

The trusted trader scheme is a method for consumers to comment on member traders and we're not able to:

  • guarantee the financial standing of members.
  • guarantee members health and safety procedures.
  • guarantee the quality of workmanship.
  • offer compensation

Complaints about a trader

Consumers and traders should initially try to resolve complaints through discussion.

Details of the complaint should then be made in writing to either party. Either party can contact us if the complaint remains unresolved:

We will respond to both parties within 5 working days.

Becoming a Trusted Trader

Applications are welcome from all business sectors and the scheme is free to join.

Please note the first 20 feedback forms are free of charge, a small charge may be incurred depending on how your business decides to collect feedback thereafter.
