The King's Honours
The honours system recognises individuals for extraordinary achievements and commitment to public life. You can nominate someone for an honour.
Honours are awarded to individuals who are:
- making a difference to their community or field of work
- providing long-term voluntary service
- providing innovation and entrepreneurship
- improving life for people less able to help themselves
- displaying moral courage
There is a limit on the number of honours that are awarded each year so only those people who've given exceptional service are likely to succeed.
