Request for service
What to do when your complaint is not a complaint and is a request for service.
Complaints may be made for many reasons, for example because of failure to provide a service or inadequate standard of service. However, a routine first-time request for a service to be delivered is not a complaint, although we often receive requests of this nature through our complaints process.
If you are telling us about something for the first time, please give us the opportunity to put things right before complaining by contacting the local service directly in the first instance.
There are many ways in which contact can be made with the council to request a service. To ensure that we deal with your request as easily and quickly as possible, we have compiled the most common reasons for requests for service which we often receive as complaints:
- Report a missed bin
- Apply for assisted bin collection
- Apply for additional bin capacity
- Apply for a new bin
- Report a pothole
- Report a road or pavement default
- Submit an insurance claim
- Report a street lighting fault
- Report dog fouling
- Report fly tipping
- Report Antisocial behaviour
- Report nuisances
Please get in touch via the contact us page if you have any further questions.
