Child Poverty Action Plan 2024-2026

The Child Poverty (Scotland) Act 2017 introduced an annual requirement for Local Authorities and Health Boards to jointly prepare a Local Child Poverty Action Report (LCPAR) which notes progress and reflects on the work undertaken over the preceding year, and also sets out an action plan for the year ahead.

This report has been jointly prepared by Dumfries and Galloway Council and NHS Dumfries and Galloway, with contributions from partner organisations.

Across Dumfries and Galloway, local partners continue to be committed to and united in our determination to improve the lives of children and families living in or at risk of poverty. Shared strategic approaches shape our work which is underpinned by an ambition to tackle inequalities and the creation of a fairer and more equal society where no one lives in poverty.
