Business rates reductions for properties caring for disabled people
Disabled Rates Relief may be awarded for properties used for caring for people that are ill or disabled.
Eligibility
This reduction is applicable where you provide:
- residential accommodation to care for people that are ill or disabled
- facilities for training people that are ill or disabled
- welfare services or workshops for people that are ill or disabled
At least half of the floor space must be used for these purposes.

We'll review your application and let you know if you are entitled to a discount, this can take 2 or 3 weeks. We may ask for more information to help us make a decision.
