Princess Royal to visit Dumfries

The Princess Royal will unveil a sculpture commissioned by the People’s Project for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at St Michael’s Church in Dumfries on Tuesday 9 July 2013. 

The sculpture will portray elements of poems and songs by Robert Burns, including Tam O’Shanter, To a Mouse, and Ca’ the Yowes tae the Knowes.  Burns’ Rock will be located beside St Michael’s Church in Dumfries, where he is buried.
