Reading Makes The Mind Bloom
Friday, 21 January 2022 14:23

Wigtown and Newton Stewart Customer Service Centres invite you help make their indoor “garden” bloom!!

Young Readers are being celebrated in their very own new Wall of Fame.  Children can use the crafts and materials to make posters & pictures of their favourite stories, rhymes and poems and share them with each other and other library visitors.  The “Reading Makes Your Mind Bloom” display is also decorated by flowers displaying photos of the children creating their work.

Cllr Andy Ferguson, Chair of Communities Committee said “It is great to see young readers share their favourite books in such a creative way, I am sure everyone will enjoy coming in to see the photos and the works on display.”

Cllr John Martin, Vice Chair of Communities Committee said “I am sure the ‘garden’ will be in full bloom in no time, its lovely to see the children’s work being shared with the whole community."
