Benefits advice for people aged 60 and over
Dumfries and Galloway Council have specially trained advisors who can advise you and your family which benefits you may be entitled to. They will start with a telephone call and only suggest meeting face-to-face in exceptional circumstances.
This could give you extra money to spend, to help with daily costs you have, such as cleaners, gardeners, taxis or anything else that improves your health and wellbeing.
They will help you apply for benefits you may qualify for, including -
- Adult Disability Payment
- Attendance Allowance
- Council Tax Reduction
- Employment and Support Allowance
- Housing Benefit
- Pension Creid
They provide confidential advice, for more information, please click here.
