Commercial bulky waste uplifts
Businesses and charities in Dumfries and Galloway can pay us to collect and dispose of large items or lots of waste from commercial properties.
You can use the commercial bulky uplift service to dispose of:
- domestic-sized appliances
- garden waste
Email EDG-WasteCollectionService@dumgal.gov.uk or call 01387 271100 if you're not sure whether an item can be collected.
What we can't collect
There are certain types of waste that we can't uplift:
- Hazardous waste such as car batteries, oil, paint, tyres and fluorescent tubes.
- Large commercial electrical and electronic equipment such as fridges, freezers and display cabinets.
- Farm waste
These items must be collected and disposed of by specialist contractors. There are a number of companies locally who handle this type of collection.
Costs and payment
We assess all requests and provide a tailored price based on our assessment. An invoice will be issued once the collection is agreed.
All bulky waste collections are on an ad hoc basis and aren't not part of any general commercial waste agreement that you may have with us.
