Friend Like Us
Monday, 17 June 2013 13:47
Last week Primary 7 pupils from the Maxwelltown High Cluster took part in an interactive transition event called ‘Friends Like Us’ at St Ninian’s Primary School.
The event, run by Youth Alive in partnerships with our Council's Leisure and Sport team, saw P7 pupils from Lochside, St Ninians and Shawhead enjoying a day of thought provoking fun activities. The focus was on building positive relationships prior to the move to secondary school
This event is the first of three to be delivered in the Maxwelltown High Cluster under a new partnership initiative called Small World which focuses on health, wellbeing and making positive choices for life.
Next week pupils will take part in an interactive drama workshop based on the play ‘Deal With It’. This will be followed by a street dance and body awareness session during their transition days at Maxwelltown High School.
Small World will continue in the Maxwelltown High cluster primary schools for the next group of P7 pupils in October this year.
