Story writing competition for Adult Learners' Week in Annan
Tuesday, 11 June 2013 10:55
Adult Learners’ Week in Annan is being celebrated by the Dumfries and Galloway Council with the launch of a story-writing competition.
Open to Annan residents aged 16 years and over, people of all abilities are invited to write a short story or poem of up to 300 words based on a photograph featured in the competition poster.
Community Development Workers in Annan are hoping that as many people as possible will take part in this competition. Imagination and ideas are what really count, but if you want to brush up on your spelling or grammar Community Learning and Development can help.
With top prizes of £30 vouchers it is worth giving it a go.
The closing date is Friday 5 July 2013 so don’t delay – get writing today.
Entry forms and more information are available from the Front desk at the Town Hall in Annan, from Community Learning and Development tutors and staff in Annan (Phone 030 33 33 3000 and ask for Gus McIntyre or Alison Murgatroyd), and from staff at Kate’s Kitchen.
