The Integration Scheme for Dumfries and Galloway has been reviewed, revised and updated. This is a draft document until 2 December 2023 to give people a further opportunity to provide comments and/or suggest changes.
This is Ross Gemmell. Ross is a countryside ranger for Dumfries and Galloway Council. This role maintains the Southern Upland Way route, the Annandale Way and the core path network in Dumfries and Galloway - along with the Beehive Bothy and Polskeoch Bothy that are used by walkers and cyclists all year round.
This is Mark McClatchey. Mark is one of two STEM teachers here at Dumfries and Galloway Council. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Dumfries and Galloway Council Leader, Councillor Gail Macgregor, today welcomed the news that Dumfries will receive a £20 million investment from the UK Government.
Dumfries and Galloway Council is putting in place a temporary 20mph speed limit in Stranraer from 6 October 2023. The new limit is in response to a decision made at December 2021 Communities Committee, a target in the National Transport Strategy (NTS2), and feedback from the wider public.
Following ongoing and updated information on the availability of staff, the decision has been made to close all local authority schools and local authority Early Learning Centre (ELC) settings on Tuesday 26 to Thursday 28 September, inclusive.

This is Lydia, who's title is museums officer, collections. Lydia's role centres on the conservation and cleaning of objects ensuring they are preserved in their current condition in Dumfries Museum and in five others across the east of the region.
