Local Development Plan 3 - LDP3 Engagement
Work on preparing the next Local Development Plan (LDP3) for Dumfries and Galloway has started. The first stage of the new plan is the production of an evidence report. To help inform the report, the Development Planning Team will be asking people what they think at a series of events in towns and villages during May and June. Locations for these engagement sessions are based on the map inset in the current Local Development Plan - LDP2. We want to know people's views on where they live and the whole region.
We are also keen to understand what people think about play provision in their local community including the quality, quantity and how easy it is to access. We will also be providing information on the next Local Development Plan and the issues that are considered in its preparation.
You can get involved online by completing one of our surveys telling us what you value about where you live and what you think needs to be improved. The Your Place survey is for everyone, and the Young People survey is aimed at those 17 years old or younger. Both surveys can be accessed below:
The surveys are anonymous and will run until 30 June.
The engagement is also taking the form of a roadshow. The table below lists where we will be visiting - our location along with the date and time we will be there. Just look out for the council car and trailer. People from nearby communities are encouraged to come along to the roadshow venue closest to them.
