Dumfries and Galloway Council are delighted to hear that Stranraer Marina will benefit from a share of a £36 million fund partly awarded to the Borderlands Partnership region by the UK Government's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. This £3.8 million additional funding, shared between the marina and 4 other Borderlands' projects, is separate from the Borderlands Inclusive Growth Deal and feeds into the Borderlands' Digital Infrastructure Strategy.

Dumfries and Galloway Council is implementing a temporary 20mph speed limit in Annan from 17 November in response to a decision made at December 2021 Communities Committee, a target in the National Transport Strategy (NTS2) and feedback from the public.
